Rev. Nita Turnage's
Mantra Lineage
Reverend Nita Turnage received her Mantra Teacher Certification and ministerial credentials in 2006 through Sanatana Dharma Satsang, a 501(c)3 religion organization that sponsors the Gayatri Temple in Beaverton, Oregon.
She studied under the guidance of her teacher and Sanatana Dharma co-founder, Namadeva Acharya (Thomas Ashley-Farrand) until his passing in 2010. Namadeva was considered one of the foremost authorites of Sanskrit mantra in the Western hemisphere.
Satyabhama (Margalo Ashley-Farrand), Namadeva's wife and Sanatana Dharma co-founder and President, continues the work of teaching the ancient spiritual techniques of mantras, pujas and yajnas (religious ceremonies) and meditative practices from Vedic and Tibetan Buddhist tratditions.
Both Namdeva and Satyabhama follow in the lineage of Satgurus Sant Keshavadas and Rama Mata who founded the Temple of Cosmic Religion (Sanatana Vishwa Dharma), in Washington, D.C.
Rev. Nita Turnage is honored to be a part of this lineage and the ever-growing number of students and teachers of Sanatana Dharma Satsang.
